ME

Welcome to web page! I just graduated from the University of Illinois with a major in Materials Science and Engineering and minors in Spanish and International studies. I'm currently looking for employment in the electronic materials industry.

I spent 6 weeks last summer studying abroad in Buenos Aires, Argentina.  Here are some pictures.

We just moved to Orland Park, llinois, southwest of Chicago in June.

This was the house I lived in since I was born - September 29, 1977.

I am a 1995 graduate of Homewood-Flossmoor High School .

Here's my family. My sister Megan is a student at Purdue University studying elementary education. Here's her webpage.

Here's my mom's parents. They've lived in Chicago's Mt. Greenwood neighborhood since 1951. Want to see grandpa landing on Omaha Beach in 1944? He's the fifth from the left.

And here's my cousins on the Horsch side of the family taken at Christmas 1998.

A picture of me and one of my more aesthetically pleasing culinary creations.

My friends Brandon and Pete (my roommate) doing what they love.

Some MatSE's at happy hour.

I'm very proud of putting this family tree together using census records, obituaries, mass cards, Internet research and grandma and grandpa.  It's always a work in progress.  If you think you can add anything, don't hesitate to email!

Here's some of my favorite sites:

The Drudge Report- links to a lot of great columnists - Camille Paglia's awesome!

Foxnews.com

The Internet Movie Database -- find information on any movie you can think of

I Love Lucy On-Line -- the Queen Mother of all television shows

The Simpsons Archive

The Presidents of the United States -- it's even got their birthdays!

Project Vote Smart -- unbiased site, see how your congressman voted

Live Radio -- listen to live radio broadcasts from all around the world!

Web Elements - lots of information on any element

And here's the bizarre stuff:

Find a Grave -- I like walking around cemeteries,  check out Al Capone's first grave (1947-52) at Mt. Olivet, my great-grandparents are two rows over

Social Security Death Index -- find information on almost any American who's died in the past 35 years

Useless Information -- Did you know midtown Manhattan was almost wiped out in 1977? Want to know the history of band-aids? What really killed James Garfield? What's the Q for in Q-Tips?

Brain Candy - Dying words, celebrity insults, proverbs, quips

Ghost Research Society -- Read about Chicago's haunted graveyards (why are they always bothering us Catholics?)

Urban Legends -- don't believe those stories about kidney snatchers, $250 cookies, little dying girls that have a final wish, gerbilling, Munchkin suicide! And little Mikey lives!!!

Thanks for visiting

Bye Bye!
